This Privacy Policy explains how ASSAI AI Builder (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when a Shopify merchant installs and uses the App. By installing the App you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

When you install and use the App, we collect:

• Store & account data — your shop domain, the Shopify access token issued to the App, and the API scopes you grant.
• Product & content data — product titles, descriptions, images, and related catalog information that you choose to generate pages, bundles, or reviews for.
• Content you create — the pages, bundles, reviews, settings, and drafts you generate with the App.
• Usage data — basic counters (e.g. number of pages or bundles created) used to enforce plan limits and trial periods.

We do not collect your customers’ personal data, payment card numbers, or order details beyond what is needed to render the features you enable.

2. How we use the information

• To provide the App’s features (AI page, bundle, and review generation).
• To display content on your storefront through the theme app extension.
• To enforce your subscription plan limits and free-trial period.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App.

3. AI processing & sub-processors

To generate content, the product information you submit is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) solely to produce the requested output. We also rely on the following sub-processors to run the service:

• Shopify — platform, authentication, and data storage APIs.
• OpenAI — generation of page, bundle, and review content.
• Render — application hosting and database.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising or any purpose other than operating the App.

4. Data retention & deletion

We retain your data only while the App is installed. When you uninstall the App, all of your store’s data (sessions, generated content, settings, and usage counters) is automatically deleted from our database. We also honor Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks (shop/redact, customers/redact, and customers/data_request).

5. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by contacting us. Uninstalling the App triggers deletion automatically.

6. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access tokens are stored securely. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
